Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026. This policy explains, in plain language, what data JobberOn handles, why, how we keep it safe, and the choices you have. It is written with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.

JobberOn is a field-workforce management platform — a web console and two mobile apps (JobberOn Manage for owners and managers, and JobberOn for field staff). It is operated by Whoolab Technologies, a partnership firm based in India (“JobberOn”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers our website, the web console, both apps, and the services that power them.

A quick note on roles: when a business uses JobberOn to manage its team, that business decides what data it collects about its own employees, and we simply process it on their behalf to run the service. If you are a field employee, your employer controls your workforce data — so requests about it are best raised with them first, and we’ll help them respond.

1. What we collect

  • Account & contact details — your name, company, work email and (if given) phone number, collected when you start a trial, sign up, book a demo, or contact us. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash — we can never read it.
  • Workforce data your business creates — employee records, attendance, tasks, expenses, forms and the related evidence (see the next section for location and photos).
  • Payment details — handled by our payment gateway, Razorpay. Card, UPI and bank-mandate details go straight to Razorpay and are never stored on our servers; we keep only your subscription status, invoices and a payment reference.
  • Technical data — IP address, device type, app version, and basic logs needed to run and secure the service, plus a push-notification token so we can send alerts.
  • Website analytics — see “Cookies & analytics” below.

2. Location, camera & your team’s data

This is the part people care about most, so we’ll be clear. The mobile apps use GPS and the camera only for the specific actions your organisation turns on — for example a location and selfie when punching attendance, or a photo and location check when completing a task. Capture happens at those moments only; the apps do not track staff continuously in the background. The field app shows a plain notice of what it records and asks for the relevant permissions before anything is captured.

3. How we use data

We use data to provide and secure the service, sync it between the apps and console, let managers verify field work, process billing and issue GST invoices, provide support, meet legal obligations, and improve the product using aggregated, de-identified insights. We do not sell your personal data, and we never use your workforce data for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the trusted providers we need to run the service, each under appropriate agreements, and never with advertisers:

  • Google Cloud — hosting, databases and file storage.
  • Razorpay — payments and subscription billing.
  • Google Firebase — push notifications and website analytics.
  • Zoho — sending transactional and support emails.
  • Google Maps — maps and turning coordinates into addresses.

We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service. Some of these providers may process data on servers outside India, with appropriate safeguards in place.

5. How we protect it

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS on every connection) and at rest. Files such as photos and voice notes are held in private storage and served only through short-lived, signed links — they are not publicly browsable. Each customer’s data is isolated from every other customer’s, passwords are stored only as hashes, access to production systems is limited on a need-to-know basis, and we take regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and review our measures as we grow.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your organisation’s data while your account is active. After an account is closed we delete or de-identify personal data within a reasonable period, except records we’re legally required to retain (such as invoices and GST records). You can ask us to delete data sooner, subject to those legal requirements.

7. Your rights & choices

Subject to applicable law, you can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. If you’re a field employee, your employer controls your workforce data, so start with them; for data we control directly, or to raise a grievance, contact our grievance officer at grievance@whoolab.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and if you’re not satisfied you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Cookies & analytics

Our website uses a few essential cookies to function and, only if you accept, Google Analytics to understand traffic. Before you accept, analytics runs in a cookieless mode that stores nothing on your device. You can change your choice anytime through the cookie banner or your browser settings. The signed-in app does not use advertising cookies.

9. Children

JobberOn is a business tool for adults (18+) in a workplace and is not directed at children. Organisations must not add anyone below the legally permitted working age.

10. Changes & contact

We may update this policy as the service or the law changes; we’ll post the new version here with an updated date. For any privacy question or request, reach us at grievance@whoolab.com or through our contact page.
